Published Research Highlights
Human mechanistic study · LH pulsatility
George and colleagues found that kisspeptin-10 stimulated LH secretion and altered pulse characteristics in men. These were hormonal endpoints in a small experimental study. [1]
Human mechanistic study · Sex-dependent responses
Jayasena and colleagues reported differences in reproductive-hormone responses between men and women under the conditions examined. [2]
Preclinical comparison · Molecular forms
A comparison of kisspeptin-54 and kisspeptin-10 found differences in the duration of LH responses. Results from one form should not be assigned to the other. [3]
Evidence Level and Research Limitations
Small samples, brief exposure and surrogate hormonal endpoints limit clinical conclusions. Results do not establish durable fertility effects or a general sexual-wellness intervention. Exact sequence, population and study conditions must match before comparing evidence. [1][2][3]
